The End

Okay, I've finally accepted that Xanga is dead.  See y'all on Facebook, or for those who care, on Blogger.

私は獺です

This is for the loyal, like, two of you who still check Xanga.  I've finally left Perry County and am now living in Middletown.  What's kinda neat is that right off the bat, I have the whole house to myself as both of my roommates are out of town.

I saw Megan Timmins last night for the first time since 8th grade.  Guess where she lives now?  About a block down the road from me!  Small world, eh?

I've put in... I think five job applications at this point.  I've already gotten a job as peer mentor at Penn State, but that won't begin until the fall semester, and I need to make some dough this month.

Magnum Opus

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, the result of my staying up until 2:30am last night staring at code until numbers and letters blended together in a horrifying rush of life hemorrhage.

New layout and all character pages linked.  New to y'all are the full names of both Fran and Froid.  If anyone knows Kresge's birthday, lemme know.  He ain't on Facebook for me to stalk :(

Now, here's where y'all come in.  Since half of these characters are, well, YOU, I'm open to anything you want placed in your character profile.  If you don't tell me anything, I have to make up content, and that's not fun for anyone.

I'm off to Middletizzy tomorrow!

Ain't No Cure for the Summertime Blues

I had finally come close to accepting that Xanga had died--then people started updating like mad.  Bah, I always was one for getting conned into bandwagons.

So, my first year of college is over, and summer vacation has arrived.  Truth be told, I have never been so unenthusiastic about summer.  I'm just so bored, and I miss everything about college--save for the drama; that can go stab itself repeatedly.

In my first year, I've taken some fun classes, had my butt kicked by some hard tests, gotten involved in some incredible organizations, and met some of the most amazing people in the world.  While I don't particularly miss any of my classes, or any of the school work for that matter, I really miss SGA, WPSH (campus radio station), and especially Kappa Sigma.  At least I've still been seeing several of my brothers throughout the summer.

I am now renting a townhouse in Middletown, though I'm currently stuck in PeCo.  There, I live with my brothers Nick and Lee, both of whom are awesome individuals.  Along with them, I live just a few houses away from Augie and Steve, and pretty close to the apartment where Tony lives, so there are six Kappa Sigs all close together--this could get chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Augie and Ariel came to Ickesburg to visit with me last Sunday, which was the biggest surprise I've had in a long time.  My cell phone woke me up from a nap, and led to the following exchange:

Me: Augie?  What's up?
Augie: Hey Dustin, what've you got going on?
Me: Not much, just about to have some shepherd's pie...
Augie: Oh, you're about to eat?  Well, I was hoping you could tell me about this one restaurant called the Bear's Den...
Me: ... Are you in Ickesburg?!
Augie: Haha, yeah!  Where's your house?

I told him, and sure enough, a few minutes later, there's Ariel's Hyundai (which is a domestic car, in case you didn't know), complete with my favorite Trouble Team.  We ended up going to the corner deli in Thompsontown for a light dinner followed by pie.  Then we played at the nearby playground and took retarded pictures.  Best night of the summer so far, hands down.

Not much else is going on.  Jeebes has left for Aussieland for four weeks, but I did get to spend the day with him a couple days ago.  I also got to see Brian and the REACH gang.

Next Friday, myself, Nick, Aug-Dog, and maybe a few others are going down to Charlottesville, VA for the grand opening of the new Kappa Sigma HQ.  This means I have one week to find my freakin' digicam's charger, which has been missing for months now >=(.

On the Shimatta! scene, Season II is well under way, and many new characters are in development for Season 3, most notably Augie, for whom it took me eight months before I finally came up with a character >_>;

Okay, I'm done typing.

Election Fliers

Here's some art... Sort of.  These are the fliers I made for this year's SGA elections (which finally end in 2 hours...):

Vote Paul Fogle for President

Write-In Ariel O'Malley for President

Write-In Nico and Jake for Senate

Enjoy.  Real art coming soon...-ish.
